Free program to shut down the PC automatically when it is inactive.

Everyday it`s more essential to save energy. If you realize how much energy a PC uses, especially if left on all day, then you`d get hold of this free tool, AllOff, whose aim is to shut down the PC when it`s inactive. For this, obviously, you need some indicators that tell it when the PC is effectively inactive. This data comes to AllOff after monitoring the keyboard, mouse and CPU.

If it finds there is no activity it starts a countdown that shuts off the PC or hibernates it, or simply closes the session. You can define these actions when configuring the program via a tasks planning system. It also has the option to shut down the PC remotely, but only where AllOff is installed.

For the program to work you need to register, for free, on the author`s website.
